Further Bingo Hall Closures

by admin

The world of online bingo still seems to be going from strength to strength although I’m sorry to the same can’t be said for live bingo. The last few years has seen a rapid decline in the live bingo scene.
Most wrongly blame the UK indoor smoking ban whilst many other blame the economic slowdown but perhaps there is another reason. Analysts state that the rise of online bingo is the main problem. At online bingo sites you can play at sites such as Jackpotjoy Bingo for a fraction of the price it would cost you if in a bingo hall. You have no travel cost and secondly you don’t have to spend a small fortune on refreshments as your kitchen is only a few steps away. Also in most cases the jackpots online are far greater as you are playing against more players.

The future of online bingo halls looks very bleak. I can’t see how live bingo can recover as many players now seem to have now switched to the online game. The big guns of live bingo such as Mecca & Gala have established the biggest online bingo sites so perhaps they have played a major part in their own demise. Some would say though that perhaps they prefer  their client base to play online simply because they still end up making money from their clients but have lower running costs and thus generate more profit. We will see the same with live casinos with perhaps players switching to online sites such as 32Red Casino rather than going to live casinos?
